Gourmet days in Windischgarsten
Surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Hallermauern and the Sengsengebirge, the picturesque Windischgarstner Valley lies in the south of Upper Austria. Day 1 Arrival Windischgarsten
Before dinner, welcome drink and information with the Gössweiner family.
Cordial hospitality, attentive and individual care, cheerfulness and quality - these are the pillars of the family-run Hotel Lavendel. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the centre of the market town of Windischgarsten. The rooms are comfortably furnished with shower or bath/WC, safe and cable TV. You will find relaxation and peace in the sauna landscape, equipped with a Finnish sauna, bio-soft sauna, herbal steam bath and infrared cabin, where you can let the day end in a relaxed manner and enjoy a cup of tea in the relaxation room.
2nd day guided tour with Wurbauerkogel and Panaramaturm
After an extensive breakfast, you will learn a lot of interesting information about the Garstner valley and the sights of the place during a cultural hike through the historic market Windischgarsten. Afterwards you take the chairlift up to the local mountain Wurbauerkogel at 850m. From the 21-metre-high, six-storey panorama tower you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. 21 "Twenty-thousand-metre peaks" and many other mountain peaks can be seen from a good distance.
Day 3 Hinterstoder World Cup with gondola lift
The "Pearl of the Alps" Hinterstoder - a predicate for extraordinary holiday resorts in the Alps whose primary concerns are climate protection and gentle mobility - captivates with its authentic townscape surrounded by the impressive scenery of the Totes Gebirge. The cable car will soon take you to an altitude of 1,400 m above sea level. Stop at the Löger Hütte to fortify yourself before continuing on the Höss Express to an altitude of 1,850 m, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Tote Gebirge mountains. The newly constructed circular hiking trails, together with the reservoir lakes and the Dachsteinblick viewing platform, are a real highlight.

Day 5: Day trip to the provincial capital of Linz
Linz, the provincial capital of Upper Austria in the heart of Europe. The European Capital of Culture 2009 and UNESCO City of Media Arts is a truly unique specimen: Linz boasts Europe's most modern music theatre and a vital contemporary cultural scene, as well as a thriving economy with top international companies. It is not only the well-preserved Old Town that expresses the connection between the fabulously green city and its long history. Possibility to take the Pöstlingbergbahn (not included in the RP) to Linz's local mountain, the steepest adhesion railway in Europe and listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
