The main town of the Vinschgau Valley, located about 30 km west of Merano, at 720 m above sea level, is one of those old-established South Tyrolean towns that are a hub for their environment. Day 1 Arrival to Silandro

Welcome to the city of encounters: South Tyrol's provincial capital Bolzano lies between the Dolomites and vineyards. Bolzano lies at 250 meters above sea level. Bolzano is the capital of South Tyrol, the country officially bears the name "Autonomous Province of Bolzano". The five districts of Bolzano present in their diversity a small, multifaceted "city of the world", manageable, with an impressively beautiful, Mediterranean flair. As the "city of a thousand dialects", Bolzano offers visitors an interesting insight into the expressions of the inhabitants of South Tyrol. The rich and eventful history of the city can also be seen in its architectural styles.
