Day 1 Arrival in St. Moritz.
Dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Laudinella in St. Moritz. All rooms with bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, TV, radio/alarm clock, safe, and unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains.
St. Moritz is one of the most famous resorts in the world. Chic, elegant and exclusive, with a very cosmopolitan ambience, it is located at 1856 meters above sea level in the middle of the Upper Engadine lake landscape. The St. Moritz sun shines on average 322 days a year.
Day 2 Bernina Express Pontresina - Tirano
After breakfast, travel on the Bernina Express, the world's most modern narrow-gauge railroad. Passing the ice giants of the Bernina Group, you reach the pass at 2253 m, lined with mountain lakes. Winter lasts here for eight months. You will reach the Italian town of Tirano around noon. Here you will have the opportunity to have lunch and explore Tirano. In the afternoon our bus will pick you up again and take you back to St. Moritz. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Laudninella in St. Moritz.
Day 3 Glacier Express panoramic car ride
After breakfast we will take the famous Swiss mountain train, the Glacier Express, from St. Moritz to Zermatt, from Piz Bernina to the Matterhorn. A 7.5 hour train ride over 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels, over the 2033 m high Oberalp Pass, between the sights in the vacation corner of Graubünden, the sunny Valais with its glacier world and the bordering regions to the south. Zermatt, the village of the Matterhorn, which has grown into an important high alpine air and altitude health resort of international stature, is the terminus for our Glacier Express. 4th day drive to Zermatt with opportunity to ascend the Gornergrat
After breakfast, travel by train from Täsch to Zermatt.
The village at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. Almost a third of all 4000m peaks in the Alps are grouped around the village. Zermatt air is clear, dry and clean, because in the village there are only electric vehicles without combustion engine.
Opportunity to ascend the Gornergrat (not included in the tour price). Experience the breathtaking beauty of nature surrounded by 29 four-thousand-meter peaks.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Täscherhof .
Day 5 Journey home
After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to the mountain world with many new impressions. The journey continues via Brig through the beautiful Rhone valley to Sion, then on to Bern - Basel - Freiburg - Baden-Baden - Karlsruhe - Darmstadt - Mainz.
