Our New Year's Eve trip takes you to the Franconian vacation region of Coburg. In the charming valley of the Itz, the tranquil community of Großheirath awaits you with its beautifully preserved half-timbered houses. A particularly worth seeing landmark is the parish church, which in its current design dates back to the 18th century. The medieval town is the ideal starting point for excursions in the region. Here you will find romantic towns, idyllic villages and beautiful landscapes - you will see, Franconia offers more than its famous wine.

 

Trip Itinerary

 

1st day arrival - room allocation - dinner together

Here you will be welcomed by the 3 star superior Hotel Steiner. The lovingly furnished double and single rooms with shower/bath, WC, radio, free internet access, TV and telephone. The modern wellness area with swimming pool and relaxation area invite you to relax and dream. Start the morning with a hearty breakfast at the extensive buffet with various baked goods, cereals, sausages, cheese, jams, fruits and vegetables as well as juices and coffee. Of course, everything is fresh and deliciously prepared. In the evening you dine in a modern, cozy atmosphere. Carefully selected ingredients of the best quality from the region are processed by the kitchen team into delicious treats.

Day 2 Franconian Switzerland- Bayreuth with tour guide

Franconian Switzerland, one of the oldest German vacation regions between Bamberg, Bayreuth and Nuremberg, delights its guests with more than 35 medieval castles and palaces, over 1,000 caves and numerous romantic mills in one of the largest nature parks in Germany. The rock town of Pottstein and the small village of Gößweinstein with the most important church in Franconian Switzerland are one of our stops today. Then continue to the world famous Richard Wagner city of Bayreuth. Explore the most famous sights such as the Festival Hall on the green hill, the Margravial Opera House, the Hermitage, the Old and the New Palace, the Villa Wahnfried as well as the Palace Church.

Day 3 Cathedral City of Bamberg

After breakfast drive to the cathedral city of Bamberg with guided tour. The old town of Bamberg has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. The historic city center has been preserved intact until today. Afterwards you will have free time to explore the city on your own.


Day 4 Half-day trip to Coburg

Today you will drive to the neighboring town of Coburg. Here you will take part in a city tour. Afterwards you have the opportunity to explore the city on your own. The city not only stands for cosmopolitanism and hospitality, but also enchants its visitors with an extraordinary mixture of art, culture and joie de vivre. Stroll through the city - there is much to discover.
Return to the hotel - In the afternoon, take advantage of the hotel's various amenities and look forward to the festive New Year's Eve. We will celebrate the turn of the year with live music and good food.


5th day half-day trip to Bad Staffelstein

After a late breakfast, the journey continues to Bad Staffelstein. The historical town at the Obermain scores equally with rich history, one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the whole country and as a spa and place of health still with the warmest and strongest thermal brine of Bavaria. Stroll through the spa park - a true place of relaxation where visitors can breathe in the precious Bad Staffelstein brine while walking, which is nebulized in the graduation towers - a real benefit for lungs and respiratory tract.

Day 6 Journey home

After breakfast it is time to say goodbye.
On the way home we will make a stopover in Würzburg.
Afterwards you will travel home.
