Bus Travel Description

Great places to take photos await you in the Bavarian heart of the Inn Valley, in the middle of the Bavarian Alps up to the Tyrolean border. Lake Starnberg, Rosenheim, the Tegernsee region with Bad Wiessee and the Alps all around will have you planning your next trip. Whether at one of the many beautiful lakes, the high peaks or the idyllic villages. Sophisticated Kitzbühel is also just a stone's throw away, past the much-praised Kufstein and around the Wilder Kaiser.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Bad Aibling
You will stay at the Hotel St. Georg in Bad Aibling. The rooms are quietly located and equipped with bathroom, WC, satellite TV, telephone and mostly balcony or terrace. The leisure area with indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna area (for a fee), adventure fitness center with gym and tennis court are available as well as various restaurant areas with winter garden and sun terrace, St. Georg-Stube, Bauern- and Buffetstube, bar and fireplace lounge.
Why not take a stroll around the hotel or make use of the hotel's amenities.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 Rosenheim - Chiemsee
In the morning we head to nearby Rosenheim, the white and blue picture-book town between Chiemsee and Wendelstein. The city tour "On the trail of the Rosenheim Cops" is an absolute must for fans of the popular ZDF series! See the original filming locations of the new and old episodes and discover the town in a different way. Or did you know that the pretty police station is actually Rosenheim's town hall? Then it's off to a "Kaiserschmarrn" meal for lunch. Then continue to the "Bavarian Sea", Lake Chiemsee. Bavaria like in a picture book. Drive along the Chiemsee to Prien. From there, take a boat trip to the Fraueninsel. Individual tour around the island, visit to the cathedral, the gate hall and the thousand-year-old lime tree. You will also return to Prien by boat.
Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 3 Filming location "Frühling" Bayrischzell - Around the Tegernsee - Bad Wiessee
Through the Inn Valley and past the Sudelfeld ski paradise, we head to Bayrischzell, the urban Bavarian home of the film village "Frühling" from the ZDF series of the same name with Simone Thomalla. But even before "Frühling", many film productions took place here, such as the opening scene of the cult film "Wer früher stirbt, ist länger tot" by Markus H. Rosenmüller. Go on a search for the motifs of your favorite films and who knows, maybe even filming for upcoming productions will take place during your stay. Continue to Schliersee and Hausham to Lake Tegernsee. Stay and stroll in Bad Wiessee, the spa town of celebrities, a health resort since 1922. Return to the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 4 Kaiser tour "In the footsteps of the mountain doctor"
Strengthened by the breakfast buffet and full of anticipation, you set off on a long journey around the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. Passing the much-vaunted Kufstein, you will travel via the beautifully situated Walchsee lake through the magnificent mountain landscape to St. Johann. Afterwards, depending on availability, you have the opportunity to visit the Bergdoktor house "Gruberhof" in Söll (except during filming). Ride on the tractor trailer to the famous Gruberhof from the TV series "Der Bergdoktor", actually called Köpfinghof, and visit the filming location. Alternatively, you can visit
the Bergdoktor practice and the village square of Going (except during filming). Finally, drive via the film home of Gruber Martin in Ellmau to Kufstein.
From there, return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 5 Lake Starnberg - Wolfratshausen, filming locations of "Hubert and/or Staller"
In the morning you drive to Lake Starnberg. Your tour guide will show you the most beautiful places in the area on the way. Enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama on a boat trip from/to Tutzing. You will then have time for an individual lunch break.
You will then travel to Wolfratshausen, known from the TV series "Hubert and/or Staller". Your tour guide will show you the locations of the town and the backdrops of the cult series. You can look forward to seeing the town hall, the Obermarkt and the town center of Wolfratshausen.
Then return to the hotel and dinner together.

Day 6 Journey home
Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye today. You will start your journey home with many impressions, and who knows, the next time you watch the series you may look back with longing.
