Trip Itinerary

1st day arrival Murau - welcome drink and information about your holiday destination.
The 4-star hotel Lercher in the middle of the medieval old town of Murau with its small garden is situated below the Schwarzenberg castle Obermurau and welcomes you with a 300-year-old tradition of hospitality in historical walls. All rooms overlook either the Stolzalpe or the castle. Equipped with bright warm colours and bath or shower, WC they have a large mirror, crouch, bathrobe, flat TV and free WLAN. An elevator takes you comfortably to the upper floors. In the kitchen, the Lercher family attaches particular importance to local, seasonal products. The in-house relaxarium awaits you with Finnish sauna, steam sauna, light therapy, large relaxation room and massage facilities.

2nd day guided city walk through the old town of Murau
The afternoon is at your disposal.

3rd day regional tour with sightseeing of the monastery St. Lambrecht (mother monastery of Mariazell) Oberwölz the smallest town in Styria and the Günstner waterfall.

4th day trip to Graz 
Graz - UNESCO world heritage, cultural and pleasure capital. The vital charm and the southern flair of Graz are almost proverbial: the old town with its red roofs and the dense juxtaposition of buildings from different art-historical epochs contribute to this atmosphere.  

Day 5 Drive over the Nockalm Road to Lake Wörthersee with the possibility of a boat trip on the way back via Gurk Cathedral (St. Hemma of Gurk). Gurk Cathedral, a jewel from the early 12th century, which goes back to a foundation of Hemma of Gurk, who is not least buried here. Gurk has therefore served as a pilgrimage site for centuries. Even the Pope has been here. In the afternoon visit of the medieval town of Friesach and its fortress and the chocolate museum of the Craigher manufactory.

Day 6 Visit of the largest Almabtrieb in Styria at the Lachtal - celebrated with a lot of customs. The Almabtrieb from the "Lachtaler-Almen" (Großlachtal, Kleinlachtal, Hirzmann, Schlatterer, Steinbach) to the Hochegg is one of the most beautiful and largest autumn events in Styria - over 3000 visitors are happy to be there every year. If the mountain summer has been successful, the cows are magnificently decorated before they move in. Successful means: all animals are complete and come back to their home barns healthy and safe.

Day 7 Journey home
Unfortunately, today it is time to say goodbye again. After a hearty breakfast you will start your journey home.
