Day 1 Arrival in Flachau.

3rd day day trip Carinthia Lakes

Along the Radstädter Tauern and over the Katschberg Pass we travel to the lake district of Carinthia. You will make a stop in the well-known and popular town of Velden on Lake Wörthersee. Lake Wörthersee is not only the largest lake in Carinthia, but also one of the warmest alpine lakes. At a depth of up to 8 meters, Lake Wörthersee can reach about 25° C.. In fascinating surroundings, the place invites you to linger. Return journey past the Ossiacher See and the Millstätter See with stop.

4th day day trip Dachstein - panorama trip

Schladming-Ramsau-Filzmoos with stopover
Drive through the Enns valley to Pichl and further through the Preunegg valley to Rohrmoos and Schladming. Stop and walk through the beautiful pedestrian zone. Continue along the romantic mountain road to Ramsau. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Planai World Cup downhill ski run. Along the magnificent Dachstein massif our tour continues to Filzmoos with a stop.

5th day Almabtrieb in Wagrain

Every year in September, before the first snow falls in the mountains, the Almabtrieb of the cows takes place. To celebrate the day, the cows are "aufgekranzt", i.e. splendidly decorated with flowers, mirrors, bells and ribbons and driven from the Sommeralm to their winter quarters in the village. The reception of the animals in the valley is celebrated with a colorful supporting program.

Day 6 Harvest Festival in Flachau

Autumn arrives in Flachau with all its colorful splendor and the farmers have the last mowing in the dry. Now it is time to give thanks for the good harvest in agriculture but also in the gardens. After the service in the parish church Flachau follows a festive procession through the village. The traditional music band Flachau as well as other traditional associations provide for the solemn framing. In no case may be missing at the harvest festival the beautiful harvest crown. This is bound in affectionate manual labor as a sign of the thankfulness for the harvest.

Day 7 Journey home

With many new impressions and well rested, it is time to say goodbye.
