Egg hunt in the Steigerwald

Day 1 Bayreuth and arrival
First experience Bayreuth. The city of festivals was shaped above all by Margravine Wilhelmine, the favorite sister of "Old Fritz". Far away from the Berlin court, she created a place of work in her own style. Welcome to the Steigerwald Nature Park! Centrally located - in the middle of Germany and in the middle of Franconia. Day 2 Franconian Easter fountain tour
A warm welcome to the traditional Easter fountain tour! An "average" Easter fountain in Franconian Switzerland comprises around 80 meters of garland decorations and a good 2,000 painted eggs. Oral tradition dates the custom back to the beginning of the 20th century. It takes at least a day to tie the garlands, erect the scaffolding and decorate the garlands with eggshells from local hens, which have been hand-painted over countless hours. In many cases, there are also extensive floral decorations. Experience the most beautiful fountains on an adventure tour around the town of Forchheim.

Day 3 "Easter egg hunt" and boat trip Volkacher Mainschleife
What would Easter be without a morning walk with a fun Easter egg hunt? You are sure to discover one or two brightly painted gifts in the town park. A boat trip can be so beautiful: Enjoy the gentle glide past all the romantic winegrowing villages, the "Maria im Weingarten" chapel, the Vogelsburg castle, right up to the largest Bocksbeutel in the world. The captain knows interesting facts about the river, shipping and the landscape of the Volkacher Mainschleife. You will sail along the "northern Main loop" to the Wipfeld lock and return to the starting point after approx. 90 minutes without stopping. You can also experience Bamberg - the thousand-year-old work of art. On forays through the
UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will be particularly impressed by the many facets of this city.

Day 4 Journey home with a stay in Würzburg
After a hearty breakfast, we start our journey home. Stopover in Würzburg.
