Come on a voyage of discovery through the Alte Land on the Elbe River. You are in the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Northern Europe.

 

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Stade and room allocation
Welcome cocktail and in the evening a hot and cold buffet with opening show. You will be staying at the 3-star superior Hotel Vier Linden in Stade. The rooms are equipped with shower/bath, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, WC, desk, ISDN telephone, W-Lan (free of charge via T-Mobile HotSpot), flat screen TV with radio programs, coffee and tea station and minibar. 


Day 2 Old Country with tour guide
After a hearty breakfast, we start our day trip with a tour of the historic town center of Stade. With an area of around 14,300 hectares of fruit trees, the Altes Land is the largest contiguous fruit-growing area in Centra


Day 3 Cuxhaven with Kehdinger Land  
After breakfast, we set off on our day trip with a tour guide.According to an old legend, this is the region where milk and honey used to flow. Visit and ride on the transporter bridge in Osten. The ferry has been crossing the Oste, the longest tributary of the Lower Elbe, for almost a hundred years. In Cuxhaven, the "MS Otter" or the "MS Störtebeker" will take you on a harbor tour and, if the tide is right, even out into the North Sea to the seal banks. The return journey is via the climatic health resort and mud spa Bad Bederkesa.

Day 4 Elbe river with boat trip
After breakfast, you will take a canal boat trip along the moat that surrounds the city center of Stade city center. The barge captain will tell you historical and current facts about the ports of Stade and the former fortifications from the Swedish era. In the afternoon, you will discover the unique tidal landscape with the flat-bottomed ship Tidenkieker. The tides, the mighty pulse of the sea, shape the landscape on the Lower Elbe. Thousands of sports skippers, captains of huge container freighters and the Elbe fishermen on their cutters are guided by the tides, as the people in the north call ebb and flow. From aboard the flat-bottomed ship Tidenkieker, you can experience this unique tidal landscape up close in the company of experts on the Lower Elbe. Dinner at the hotel 


Day 5 Journey home 
With many new impressions we start our journey home after breakfast.
