Chestnut Festival on Lake Maggiore

Experience a wonderful trip to Lake Maggiore in Italy. Between the mountains, the lake conjures up a picture-perfect image and invites you to dream. At its widest point, Lake Maggiore opens up to the Borromean Bay with the famous Borromean Islands: Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori. While Isola Bella has been transformed into a wonder of Baroque design by the Borromeo family and Isola Madre is an ideal garden landscape, Isola dei Pescatori has remained simple and original in character.
The region around Lake Maggiore combines the blooming alpine landscape between Italy and Switzerland with the Mediterranean sea air. 

Day 1 Arrival at your vacation destination 
The 3-star superior Hotel Vittoria is located at an altitude of 850 meters in the climatic health resort of Premeno on Lake Maggiore. The family atmosphere and typical Italian specialties contribute to a relaxing stay in the midst of the mountain landscape. All rooms are equipped with bath or shower/WC, air conditioning and TV. 
In the evening, take a guided walk to the San Salvatore viewpoint and enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Maggiore.

Day 2 A day's vacation in Cannero Riviera
Today is all about citrus fruits. In Cannero Riviera, the northernmost place in Europe where lemons grow outdoors all year round, the climate is particularly mild. Palm trees thrive here, as do the northernmost oranges and lemons in Italy. Together with your tour guide, you will visit the citrus gardens where lemons, oranges, mandarins and grapefruits grow. During the tour, take the opportunity to sample typical local specialties and fruits. This is followed by a tour of the picturesque old town of the small coastal town. Afterwards, take an approx. 1-hour catamaran trip on Lake Maggiore, past the stately villas and the enchanting shores of the lake. 

Day 3 Borromean Islands with tour guide
Today you go on an excursion by boat to the Borromean Islands. You will visit the islands of Madre - Pescatori and Bella. Botanical tour of Isola Madre with palace, visit to the ten-terrace garden of Isola Bella with guided tour of the castle. In the afternoon you can go for a walk along Lake Maggiore at your leisure.

Day 4 Verbania International Market 
In the morning visit to the market in Verbania/Premeno in the afternoon - hike to the three viewpoints in Premeno.

Day 5 Free time 
Enjoy the day as you wish. 

Day 6 Journey home
After breakfast, start your journey home with many wonderful memories of this enchanting region.
