Day 1 Arrival in Beilngries
Arrival in Beilngries. In the heart of Bavaria, in the middle of the Altmühltal Nature Park, Beilngries opens the door to a varied vacation world. Historic buildings and enchanting nature, attractive leisure activities and culinary delights - everything is close together in Beilngries. If you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the town, you will soon experience a pleasant feeling that you often miss in everyday life: the feeling of having time. Today, the numerous restaurants, inns and cafés fill the historic old town with life and invite you to take a leisurely break.
Stay at the Hotel Fuchsbräu in Beilngries. The hotel, which has been family-owned for generations, impresses with its blend of tradition and modernity. The listed building is located in the old town of Beilngries. It has a restaurant with regional cuisine, a bar, a cozy beer garden as well as a sauna and fitness room. The rooms are equipped with shower or bath/WC, hairdryer, TV, telephone and room safe.
Day 2 Altmühltal Nature Park with tour guide
After breakfast, you will take part in an impressive round trip through the Altmühltal to Kelheim. Your tour guide will tell you everything you need to know about the Altmühltal Nature Park on the way. You will then enjoy the unique view from the Liberation Hall before a boat takes you upstream through the Danube gorge to Weltenburg Abbey. There you will visit the beautiful monastery church and learn interesting facts about the monastery complex. Afterwards, you can treat yourself to a freshly tapped beer from the oldest monastery brewery in the world in the beer garden. Then return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 3 Regensburg
In the morning you will travel to Regensburg. During a city tour, you will get to know the episcopal city with St. Peter's Cathedral, the Porta praetoria, the Old Town Hall and the towers. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Stroll through the beautiful old town or enjoy the city from the water on a boat trip (extra charge). Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day 4 Eichstätt and return journey
Before you start your return journey, you will travel to Eichstätt. During a guided tour of the baroque, episcopal and university town, you will get to know the city. Look forward to the historic ensemble of churches, playful fountains, magnificent squares, dreamy alleyways and the elegant baroque palace. This is followed by the return journey
