Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival Rotenburg an der Fulda
Room allocation and dinner together. You will be staying at the 4-star Posthotel Rotenburg in a central location, directly on the river Fulda. The region offers a wide range of leisure activities. Take romantic walks through the idyllic half-timbered town of Rotenburg or enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings on long hikes along the Fulda. The modern 4-star Posthotel hotel with spacious, bright and comfortably furnished rooms offers a perfect feel-good atmosphere and leaves nothing to be desired. The fresh, colorful design and the warm, bright colors radiate coziness and are very inviting. Enjoy the hospitality and let us spoil you with regional and international cuisine in our cozy restaurants "Poststube" with winter garden and "Kutscherstube".  The attractive wellness area with a Finnish sauna, a Roman steam bath and a fitness area ensures rest and relaxation. Here you can relax with a cozy sauna session and unwind after an active day. Soothing beauty treatments round off the day perfectly and make every stay a pleasure.

Day 2 Guided tour of Rotenburg
After a leisurely breakfast, you will enjoy a guided tour through the romantic alleyways and corners of the colorful half-timbered town. Apart from the town hall, castle and churches, almost all of Old Rotenburg was and still is made up of such buildings. Most of them date from the 17th and 18th centuries, but a few have survived the great town fires of earlier times. They are particularly interesting because they show the development of half-timbered construction. Dinner together in the evening.

Day 3 Day trip to Eisenach with a guided tour of the town and free time.
In the middle of green valleys, Eisenach lies dreamily at the foot of Wartburg Castle. With Luther and Bach, the work of St. Elisabeth, Goethe and Wagner, Eisenach is a richly cultural town. Eisenach, also affectionately known as the Wartburgstadt, is a town in western Thuringia. It is one of the so-called Luther towns. As every history buff knows, Martin Luther translated the New Testament from Greek into German at Wartburg Castle, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 4 Half-day trip to Bad Hersfeld
In the evening, New Year's Eve celebration at the hotel with gala buffet, music and dancing

Day 5 Day trip to Mühlhausen, the city of towers
After a late breakfast, we drive to Mühlhausen. In the medieval old town you will find numerous churches and half-timbered buildings as well as one of the best-preserved town walls.

Day 6 Journey home
After a hearty breakfast, we start our journey home.
