Who hasn't dreamed of experiencing Switzerland's magnificent mountain world on the original Glacier or Bernina Express at least once in their life? Make this dream come true - with both trains. On this journey, railroad romantics, mountain and nature lovers alike will get their money's worth and experience Switzerland from many idyllic angles. 
Over breathtaking viaducts, bridges, hairpin bends and loops, but without any tunnels, the Bernina Express makes its way through unspoilt nature, overcoming a difference in altitude of 1,830 meters. A technical masterpiece that our Swiss neighbors are rightly even more proud of than their herbal sweets. The ride on the Glacier Express on the particularly idyllic section between Andermatt and Chur is no less beautiful.

Day 1 Arrival in Graubüden - dinner and overnight stay at the 3-star Hotel Albula&Julier in Tiefencastel. This family-run hotel is centrally located in the heart of Tiefencastel. The cozy rooms have a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone and radio/TV. You will be spoiled with local specialties in the restaurant.
 
Day 2 Glacier Express & Viamala Gorge
After breakfast we travel to Andermatt to take the famous Swiss mountain railroad, the Glacier Express, to Chur. Climb aboard please! The wonderful train journey from Andermatt to Chur on the "Glacier Express" leads through the wild and romantic Rhine Gorge to Disentis and on over the Oberalp Pass. 
Once in Chur, the return journey continues to Thusis. Here we visit the famous Viamala Gorge. Return to the hotel and dinner 

Day 3 Bernina Express
In the panoramic carriage of the "Bernina Express" you enjoy the railroad line, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered a technical masterpiece. Past the Morteratsch Glacier, the Piz Palü, the Diavolezza and then down into the Val
Poschiavo, the terminus today is Tirano. Many photo opportunities, picturesque villages and untouched nature will accompany you throughout the day. Once you arrive in Tirano, you have the opportunity to go for a stroll in the beautiful mountain village or stop off at a restaurant. Then return by coach via St. Moritz and the Julier Pass to Graubünden. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 6 Alpine cattle drive in Söll - one of the most beautiful traditions in Tyrol
Every year at the end of September, the cattle are driven back into the barn. Colorfully decorated, the cattle reach the village center of Söll and the dairymen thank them with a celebration and music for an accident-free summer on the alpine pasture. 

Day 7 Journey home

Autumn is harvest time. If the weather has been favorable during the year and everything else has gone well, the farmers' work in the fields, meadows and mountain pastures bears fruit. After work, however, you should not only rest, but also celebrate, which is why the farmers' autumn in Salzburger Land is a very sociable time. Lived tradition, customs and traditional crafts mixed with culinary Pinzgau delicacies.

Day 1 Arrival in Unken
Unken, the gateway to Pinzgau, opens up completely new views of the Salzburger Saalachtal and welcomes its guests with a breathtaking mountain panorama. It lies in the border triangle of Salzburg, Bavaria and Tyrol. Natural landscapes, forests and picturesque mountain panoramas offer those seeking relaxation the ideal stage for relaxing summer and winter vacations. But the hiking village doesn't just have a lot to offer visually. 
Stay at the Landhotel Kirchenwirt in Unken. The cozy rooms in country house style invite you to enjoy your vacation and are equipped with bath/shower/WC, hairdryer, hotel cosmetics, large flat-screen TV. Start the day with a smile, whether you're an early riser or a late riser, there's something for everyone at the extensive breakfast buffet. Regional products such as fresh wholemeal, wood-fired, grain or rye bread and pastries from the Unken bakery, organic milk and organic eggs from the Perchtbauer farm in our neighborhood can be found at the buffet as well as various types of muesli, various cereals and grains.
Feast and enjoy - the restaurant combines tradition and modernity. After an eventful day, we start our 4-course menu of choice with salad from the buffet.

Day trip Großglockner
This trip takes you to the highest mountain in Austria. The Grossglockner High Alpine Road has made it possible to experience the unique landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park for more than half a century now. Nature shows its most beautiful side once again in the fall. The distant views on the mountains are crystal clear and the otherwise so striking peaks seem close enough to touch. Get up high, ride above the autumnal wafts of mist and enjoy the magnificent views! Watch the marmots slowly getting ready for hibernation or the ibex up close! 

Day trip around the Hochkönig with a visit to the Christlalm
Via the Salzach Valley to Maria Alm, the Dientener Sattel and Mühlbach. Around the Hochkönig with its mighty mountain slopes and beautiful views! The Alm can be reached via a beautiful, 9 km long panoramic road and is situated on the 1500 m high glacier plateau of the Trattberg. Fresh, clear alpine air, the panorama and the rustic alpine pasture - it's a great place to be! Cheerfulness reigns at the Christlalm, Sepp plays music and the hut fun is perfect! The return journey then takes us via Salzburg and Bad Reichenhall.

Visit to a Harvest Festival
Living tradition, customs and traditional crafts are important values that are cultivated and celebrated during the Salzburg Harvest Festival. From the much admired "Almabtrieb", when the festively decorated cattle return to the valley from their summer on the alpine pastures, to creative hay figures that mark the village entrances and cheerfully dancing Schuhplattler groups - the Harvest Festival offers all these old traditions a stage to cultivate folk culture! Culinary delights: many Pinzgau specialties are served by the farmers' wives at these festivals!

Day 6 Journey home 
Well rested and refreshed, we start our journey home after breakfast.

Round trip to the Allgäu
Today you will go on a tour of the Allgäu with your tour guide. You will reach Füssen via the Oberjoch Pass and the Tannheim Valley. The High Castle, once the summer residence of the prince-bishops of Augsburg, can be seen from afar. Free time at your disposal. Stroll through the romantic old town with its many stores, medieval alleyways, baroque churches and monasteries. Return to the hotel. 

Drive to Oberstdorf 
Oberstdorf is Germany's southernmost town, surrounded by the Allgäu Alps and internationally known for the Nebelhorn with the world's most beautiful ski jumping facilities (possibility to drive up) or take a stroll through the beautiful town center.

Day trip to Lindau on Lake Constance The Bavarian shore of Lake Constance stretches from Nonnenhorn to the Lindau district of Zech and is approx. 12 kilometers long. Due to its location in the immediate vicinity of the Austrian and Swiss Alps, the district of Lindau is probably one of the most beautiful vacation regions in Europe, and not only because of its wide range of water sports.

Day 6 Journey home

As soon as we leave the Brenner Pass behind us, the striking mountain ranges of the Dolomites, wide alpine meadows, dark forests and fertile valleys alternate with idyllic villages and towns rich in tradition. The harmonious play of colors is a treat for all the senses. The mountain world of the mighty Dolomites exudes a special atmosphere. In view of the imposing nature, people reflect on the essentials, come to rest and find strength.

Day 2 Magic of the mystical Ehrenberg castle ruins & "Highline 197" suspension bridge

Today, after a hearty breakfast, you will visit the Ehrenberg castle ruins.

You will then visit the world's longest Tibet-style suspension bridge HIGHLINE 179 with inclined elevator. In the afternoon, use the time to visit the Christmas market in Reutte.

Day 3 Atmospheric Advent season in Innsbruck 
Fortify yourself at the breakfast buffet and then travel to Innsbruck 
The old town of Innsbruck is transformed into a paradise for Christmas fans: stalls selling local arts and crafts and traditional specialties are lined up around the stately Christmas tree. The colorful hustle and bustle is accompanied by an atmospheric supporting program. Let yourself be enchanted by the Christmas atmosphere. Linger until we return to the hotel in the afternoon. 

Day 4 Drive to Füssen 
Strengthened by breakfast, you will visit the Allgäu today. Drive through the beautiful Allgäu countryside with a stop at Neuschwanstein Royal Castle (admission not included), then continue to Füssen. Stroll through the old town and the pedestrian zone and get to know Füssen in the picturesque Königswinkel. 

Day 5 Journey home 
A relaxing vacation comes to an end, after breakfast we start our journey home.

Vacation in the centrally located spa town of Bad Wörishofen.  The beautiful natural surroundings and spa gardens invite you to take long walks. Day 1 Arrival Welcome to Allgäu

Wonderfully located in the center of the spa town of Bad Wörishofen.  The beautiful natural surroundings and the spa park invite you to take long walks. On today's round trip, you will first discover the region around Lake Ammersee. Further east is Lake Starnberg. Thanks to its fabulously beautiful coastal landscape, the lake has been a popular recreational area for locals and tourists alike since the 17th century.

Day 3 Allgäu Alps

After breakfast, you will travel to the Allgäu Alps today. Oberstdorf is surrounded by mountain peaks rising up to 2,700 m high. In the romantic Kleinwalsertal valley, you can enjoy the magnificent mountain panorama in all its glory.

Day 4 Half-day trip to Kaufbeuren, a picturesque town in the Allgäu with a guided tour of the town

After a leisurely breakfast, you will set off on a short excursion to nearby Kaufbeuren. Kaufbeuren, a picturesque town in the Allgäu region, is known for its unique mix of traditional Bavarian culture and modern city life. Get to know the town on a guided tour.

In the evening, New Year's Eve celebration with gala buffet, live music and fireworks

5th day at leisure

Organize your day as you wish today - and explore the Kneipp spa "on your own". Many services are included in your spa tax. Are you already familiar with the Kneipp forest trail? Or make a detour to the Kurhaus. Well over 100 cultural evening events can be experienced in the Kurhaus Bad Wörishofen every year, whether it's an opera or operetta evening, musical gala, classical concert, theater performance, local evening, dance event, cabaret and comedy or an informative lecture. Find out about the current program at the hotel. A visit to the Bad Wörishofen thermal baths - one of the most beautiful thermal baths in Germany with South Sea flair, thermal water, Kneipp pools and an extensive sauna area is highly recommended.

Day 6 Lake Constance - Lindau

Today your day trip takes you to Germany's largest lake. Lake Constance serves as a heat reservoir and provides a unique climate with mild winters and temperate summers. You will also visit Lindau. The location of this beautiful little town is unique. Situated on a historic island, Lindau captivates with its unmistakable charm, surrounded by Lake Constance and lush green countryside.
