Heath blossom in the Lüneburg heathland

When the landscape turns into a purple carpet of flowers, interspersed only by the lush green of the gnarled junipers and the silvery white of the birches, it's that time again. In August and September the heath blooms and experiences its fifth season. The fantastically beautiful landscape of millions of purple blossoms, picturesque brooks, moors and juniper bushes exudes a very special charm. Spend wonderful vacations in one of the largest nature parks in northern Germany.

Day 1 Arrival in Soltau - welcome at the hotel - dinner together at the hotel

Take a walk in Böhmepark, stroll through the pedestrian zone, relax in the Soltau Therme.

Day 2 Excursion to the salt and Hanseatic city of Lüneburg with a tour guide
Today you will travel to the enchanting salt city of Lüneburg, which is famous for its telenovela "Red Roses", which is filmed here. Experience the historic old town in brick Gothic style on a tour. As the Hanseatic city remained undamaged during the Second World War, it still has a cohesive, medieval townscape to this day. Afterwards, you can discover the city on your own and take a leisurely stroll through the streets.

Day 3 Heath panoramic tour with tour guide
Discover the largest heathland area in Germany, the Lüneburg Heath, with your tour guide. You will visit the Schneverdingen Heath Garden. In this garden, which is unique in Germany, you can admire the variety of around 180 different types of heather with around 150,000 plants that bloom throughout the year. Continue through the Lüneburg Heath to Niederhaverbeck, where you will have the opportunity to have lunch. You will then set off on a long carriage tour with a break in Wilsede. Continue to Neuenkirchen to "put the Schnucken to bed". At approx. 17.00 hrs. guided tour of the Heidschnuckenhof, "go to the shepherd". You can ask the shepherd your questions in the midst of the herd of Heidschnucken. Afterwards, the shepherd puts the Heidschnucken to bed. At around 6.30 pm, a rustic barn party at the Schäferhof with a hearty crusty roast, bread and salad buffet as part of the half-board package.

Day 4 Day trip to the Altes Land 
After breakfast, we set off with a tour guide to the Altes Land. We visit the fairytale town of Buxtehude. It is located in the Altes Land vacation region on the River Elbe. Discover the historic old town with its half-timbered houses and stroll through the narrow alleyways along the romantic Flethanlage. Continue to York, the largest contiguous fruit-growing region in Northern Europe. You will learn everything you need to know about the region, tradition and history. You will then visit a fruit farm. There you will round off the day with a coffee break of fresh coffee and homemade cake and talk about what you have experienced before setting off on your journey home.

Day 5 Excursion to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg with a tour guide
Landungsbrücken, Elbe and Alster 
Welcome to the Hanseatic city! Hamburg offers a lot of variety: the harbor with the Landungsbrücken, Elbe and Alster, the Elbphilharmonie, the Michel, the Jungfernstieg, theaters, museums, monuments and the fish market. A boat trip through the port of Hamburg will give you a comprehensive insight into the history of the port of Hamburg.

Day 6 Journey home 
With many new impressions, we start our return journey invigorated.
